Lustrous Expanse

I wanted my work, in all 4 studio classes to be cohesive this semester.

I was already exploring how light interacts with space and our surroundings. That changed into representing what I observe and study in nature. This revealed that I was mimicking the beauty of the passage of time on our surroundings. After experimenting to find the best-found objects and materials to use to get the looks I wanted I realized I had developed a fascination with using what is considered expendable objects in unusual combinations to achieve the look of something natural. I am still processing what I’ve learned and I know it’s only going to fuel this next and last semester.
